Tube & Angle Rolling

A tube roll or angle roll, is a specialized piece of machinery used in metalworking to bend tubes, pipes, and angle iron into various shapes and curves.

Overall, tube and angle rolls are essential for creating strong and aesthetically pleasing bent metal components in a variety of applications.

How does it work?

The angle roll or tube roll is operated by first completing a before use check and safety check. The machine is plugged in to a power source and turned on. The appropriate dies for the material are installed, and the die nuts are tightened with the die nut wrench.

The work piece is placed between the two bottom rollers and the top roller. The bottom rollers are raised with the "UP/DN" knob until the material is pinched between the three rollers. The appropriate amount of pinch pressure depends on the material. The bottom dies are leveled to each other, and the D.R.O is zeroed. The rear guide rollers are centered vertically on the work piece..

Pinch pressure is increased, and the piece is rolled from start to finish. The rear guide rollers are kept centered on the piece as its radius changes. The angle roll is used to create an arc or circle in the work piece. The machine is powered down, unplugged, and the surrounding area is cleaned after use.
