At Oak City Customs, our woodshop has the machines and tooling to assist with your project! We offer woodshop services to the general public, residential and commercial clients! We are located 20 minutes east of Raleigh in Zebulon, NC!NORTHTECH™️
52" Double Helical Jointer/Planer
With only a handful produced worldwide, this 192HP machine is the largest on the East Coast, USA! Featuring a 40HP feed, the NorthTech Double Helical Jointer/Planer can save you a ton of time, while ensuring your panel is flat. TIMESAVERS™️
52" Wide-Belt Finish Sander
This machine really lives up to its name! A true timesaver in our shop with 3 sanding heads, consisting of a 14" rubber segmented contact drum, platen, & platen setup.
This 22,000lb beast is 120hp with a 10hp feed, that depending on sandpaper selection, will generally remove about .03" or 1/32" per pass.
We usually run this machine with 60, 100, & 150-grit paper. Producing a very flat panel, this is normally the last step before entering our hand-finishing process.
Almost everything we make goes through this machine!

TIMESAVERS™️
52" Orbital Finish Sander
Our 52" wide Timesavers Orbital Finish Sander is the final machine that our wood panels are process through. This machine features (2) orbital heads, with (2) 6" x 52" orbital sanding pads, a total of 4 pads. In addition to these 4 pads, the machine is equipped with a QuickWood Brush Head. Material will be sanded to 180grit once process with this orbital sander, leaving only hand-sanding and final touches prior to finishing!
