Butcher Block

Style | Woodworking | Stability

A “Butcher Block” panel offers a very different look than a “Classic Cut”, instead of using the face of the lumber as your tabletop, the boards are glued together on their sides, creating an edge grain tabletop

HISTORICALLY, THIS STYLE OF PANEL IS KNOWN FOR ITS STRENGTH AND DURABILITY!

Process

Dimensional lumber is placed on its side, gluing the faces of the lumber together, leaving the edge grain as the top and bottom surfaces. The panel is then finish sanded and cut to size, leaving 4 clean edges.
